Gospel reading from Luke 11:37-41
First Reading : 5:1-6
First Reading : 5:1-6
WORD- my word is from first reading Galatians 5:1..."So stand firm.,."
ORDER- to be steadfast in my faith and stand firm on the promise of God in his Word.
REALITY- I was so blessed to attend a weekly formation using the book "Discipleship" which we had for almost 3 years of regularly meeting every Monday night. (Feb , 2000 to October 2002). This was during my several years stay in San Diego.
One important lesson I learned from this formation is " know your position in Christ." Because I have been attending Bible studies and along the side were a few Bible Seminars given by the Institute for Pastoral Development -Scripture Ventures, I have developed a deeper understanding of the Word of God and a love to share Bible verses. Because of this exposure, i have gradually understand my position in Christ and his word became alive and I was able to experience several instances that His Word is truly alive and true, so His exhortation today for me to stand firm became stronger to believe and trust that He Is truly faithful.
It is important too that I have memorized my favorite verses as they reminded me, encouraged me, guided me, strengthened me, uplift my spirit when I am down, assured me that God is just a prayer away, that He will never forsake me nor abandon me...aren't th
is enough assurance and for over 33 years of walking with Him, it all helped me to STAND FIRM in Jesus' love for me.
DIRECTION -Jesus is my firm foundation
SUPPLICATION-
Let this be my prayer:
Jesus, you're my firm foundation
I know I can stand secure
Jesus, you're my firm foundation
I put my hope in your holy word
I put my hope in your holy word .
I know I can stand secure
Jesus, you're my firm foundation
I put my hope in your holy word
I put my hope in your holy word .
